JGL Properties X Selva Labs

Location: Cnr Brewers St. & Symes St. Bowen Hills
Year: 2025

JGL Properties and The Tervo Company were proud to collaborate to support the city’s vibrant cultural landscape in the lead-up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. This exciting new art initiative celebrates the power of Street Art to transform spaces, creating a dynamic and inspiring environment for residents and visitors alike. We are honoured to contribute to the cultural landscape of Brisbane through this partnership with JGL Properties and emerging artist duo Selva Labs. They transformed the hoarding on the corner of Brewers and Symes Streets, Bowen Hills, into an interactive artwork blending colour, culture, and technology.

The mural’s colour palette was selected as a quiet tribute to Jubilee Place’s world class environmental ratings, a nod to sustainability in an urban context. Green represents growth and innovation, while blue evokes the calm, reflective mood the artists hope visitors experience when interacting with the work.

By scanning the QR code on-site and using the Artivive app, passers-by can step into an extended reality, watching as the mural animates and the robot springs to life—bridging the physical and digital, and inviting viewers to engage, not just observe.

This project reflects JGL Properties’ commitment to creative placemaking, local talent, and future-focused design. What was once a blank hoarding is now a talking point, a photo opportunity, and an interactive experience for the local community.
